Nine Eventful Decades

In 1930, Asghar Jaberansari established "Ansari" Wholesaler of Silver & Gold in Tehran, Lalezar street. Those days, Lalehzar was a luxurious location. A street which an Iranian king tried to build as a copy of Champs-Élysées in 1875. It is more than 9 decades that our location is here. Lalehzar St. has changed and new businesses have grown.

Hassan Jaberansari, the second son of Asghar Jaberansari who was interested in lighting and chandeliers, started changing the family business. In a few years, Roshanaei Lighting Industries became one of the market leaders of chandeliers and lighting fixtures in Iran.

Jazireh Department Store. Dealers were not able to distribute our products well. Therefore, the first department store belonged to the company was established in north of Iran. Concentration was on chandeliers, lampshades, lighting fixtures, ...

The war between Iran and Iraq effected our business. Lack of raw material, energy, etc. forced the company to think about alternatives. The new decision formed our new era. Electrical products for industry and power generation.

However we were working with several German and Italian manufacturers and importing raw materials and components of lighting products, our new approach led us to new commercial partners. Busch-Jaeger and Mennekes Elektrotechnik were the very first partners in this field.

Our business name changed from Jaberansari into Sepahan Electric.

Amirhossein Jaberansari joined the company. A power engineer with new business ideas. The one who was getting trained for leading the family business strictly under supervision of his father.

Schupa, the new partner. We were (and also are) trying to launch new products in the Iranian market and provide new technologies to our customers. In Iran RCD/RCCBs (Residual Current Circuit Breakers) were absolutely unknown. The German company Schupa was our candidate. We helped saving lives and properties.

New partner, Berker. New technologies were always of our interest. Instabus (EIB), later changed into KNX which is an open standard for commercial and residential building automation, became a part of our business. In addition to dedicated products to KNX/EIB system, we included Berker switches and sockets to our range.

In a short distance from company Mennekes Elektrotechnik, our new complementary business was located. Gustav Hensel GmbH. We had already started manufacturing switch boards and cabinets for our industrial and domestic customers. Hensel modular panels helped us providing new opportunities for our customers.

At the same time, we began our business unit Instrumentation and Automation. Companies BDSensors, Germany and Crouzet, France became our new partners.

The German company Bauser GmbH enriched our product range with time and pulse counting devices.

A complete range of relays and timers by the Austrian company Tele Haase were included to our range.

By the advice of our friends at Mennekes Elektrotechnik, we got familiar to OBO Bettermann. This German company manufactures over 30000 different wiring, protection, ... products and today is one of our most important suppliers.

Cooperation started with companies Pulsotronic, Lumel and Benedict from Germany, Poland and Austria.

Construction of new headquarters finished. 1200 m² building in the middle of the market including warehouse.

Reorganization of Sepahan Electric seems necessary. Generation change effected our market too. New technologies, new demands, new market culture. We reacted accordingly. Sepahan Electric Jahangir Co. PJS was born.
